New to paragliding? Learn it here first.

A short interactive guide to paragliding, made by GoLeap. How a wing made of air flies, the kit and the five-point check every pilot runs, who is allowed to fly you, and what to ask before you book. It takes about 15 minutes on your phone and doesn’t replace your instructor.

A few things
you might wonder.

What’s the difference between the two flights?

A top-down tandem flight descends from the launch at Billing towards Bir. Cross-country flying uses rising air to gain height and travel farther across the mountain landscape. Compare each operator’s flight duration, route, landing arrangements and inclusions before booking.

Will the flight follow the exact route in the 3D view?

The animation illustrates the two experiences over real terrain. It is not a recorded flight or a fixed itinerary. Your pilot chooses the actual route according to weather, lift and local operating conditions. A cross-country flight may land away from Bir; check the operator’s return arrangements.

Can I fly without previous experience?

On a tandem flight, you fly with a pilot who controls the wing. Check the selected experience for its suitability, age and weight requirements, and tell the operator about any relevant health or mobility concerns before booking.

What happens if the weather changes?

The operator decides whether conditions are suitable for flying. Read the event’s weather, rescheduling and cancellation policy before you book; these terms can differ between operators.
