Itinerary
Day 1Your Bir-Billing tandem flight
Report before your selected slot and take the arranged transfer from Bir to the Billing take-off at 2,400 m. At launch, your pilot checks the weather, fits your harness and helmet, and briefs you on the take-off run. Run a few steps down the slope with your pilot and the wing lifts you off. With 40-plus minutes of airtime your pilot can work the thermals to stay high and range along the ridge, giving you a long, unhurried look at the valley, the forest and the snow line before turning down towards Bir. After landing near the Tibetan Colony, the team helps you out of the harness, transfers your GoPro footage and completes the arranged hotel drop.

FAQs
How long is the flight?
The Premium ride gives you 40 to 45 minutes of airtime, roughly double the Classic, depending on conditions on the day.
How safe is paragliding?
Our pilots are experienced, trained and know all the areas that fly here. The pilot has full control and direction, and full knowledge of the speed of the air, altitude, clouds, wind and temperature needed for a safe flight. Just enjoy the flight and the pilot takes care of the rest.
Do I need any experience?
No. In tandem paragliding the pilot flies the wing and you are strapped in alongside. The flight is suitable for first-timers.
What time should I report?
Reporting time is 30 minutes before the pickup time chosen at the time of booking, beyond which the no-show condition applies.
How should I prepare?
Have a light meal, stay hydrated before gliding, and listen to the instructor carefully.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel or request a reschedule at least 24 hours before the activity for a full refund or free reschedule. Cancellations inside 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable. If SkyCandy cancels before departure because of weather, a government announcement or another unforeseen issue, you can take a full refund or reschedule. If a safety cancellation happens only after you reach take-off, approximately ₹500 may be retained for third-party taxi, government-fee and insurance costs.
What does the included insurance cover?
The operator profile shared with GoLeap lists combined medical, evacuation and accident cover up to ₹3 lakh, plus outpatient care up to ₹10,000. It lists Indian nationals and working expats aged 12 to 70 with valid photo ID as eligible, and excludes pre-existing conditions and incidents involving alcohol or drugs. The insurer's certificate and terms for your flight always control, so review them before take-off.
When does the flying season run?
The Bir-Billing season runs roughly October to June. Flying stops through the monsoon when rain and unstable wind make the site unsafe.
