Fall with a plan. Fly the canopy home.
You leave the aircraft at around 10,000 to 15,000 ft. Within about 10 seconds air resistance matches gravity and you stop speeding up: terminal velocity, about 200 km/h belly to earth. At a planned altitude you throw a small pilot chute; it drags out the main parachute, which opens into a wing you steer and land. A reserve and an automatic device back it up.
